Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) as is required by law.
Tour Operators are Regulated Businesses in
Namibia., and The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is responsible for ensuring
that services rendered and facilities provided to tourists comply with
the prescribed standards. In addition to other responsibilities, the
NTB is tasked with registering and grading accommodation
establishments and other tour related business. These mandates are
vital to ensure a high quality of standards and elimination of

The Namibia Tourism Board has categorized Tour Operators as: Activity
Operators and Tour and Safari Operators. Activity Operators are for example
companies that offer tours of less than 1 day duration. For example Dolphin and
Seal Cruises, or Camel Rides. Whereas a Tour and Safari Operator may offer short
excursions, they also are involved in longer term tours throughout Namibia.

Transport Operators.
Companies involved in the renting of vehicles to tourists are also required
to be registered with the Namibia Tourism and they are listed on this site
Each category has a minimum standard that must be complied

Transport Services are subject to Inspection by the Namibia Tourism Board in
order to ensure that the required standards, as stipulated by the Tourism
