Spitzkoppe:
On the B2 road about 24km west of Usakos you will
see the sign on the north side of the road for Henties Bay. Turn
onto the D1930 for about 500m then turn west onto the D1918 for
about 28km. The turn north east onto the D1925 for about 6km then
arrive at Damara Community gate for the Spitzkoppe.
The Spitzkoppe Inselberg jutting up some 1728
meters over the desert floor dominates makes an impressive sight.
The surrealistic rock features will take you into a 'different
world'.

Bull's Party and Phillip's Cave Rock Paintings: From Usakos: at the 4 way stop on the B2 road
you will see the signs to Philipp's Cave. Turn onto the D1935. After
about 10km you arrive at the junction with the D1937 road. Drive
this for about 15km arrive at Reception of Ameib Ranch.
Strange and massive rock shapes at the Bull's
Party plus the famous Bushman Rock Paintings at the Philipp's Cave
make the Ameib Farm a must visit. Good accommodation and camping
facilities right in the heart of the impressive Erongo Mountains.

Paula Cave: The small cave is on a the farm operated by the
Erongo Wilderness Lodge. You will need their permission, plus a guide to drive
you to the cave. You may even consider a stay-over-night at the Lodge as it
makes for an experience with a difference. They have 10 Luxury tented chalets in
a dramatic setting of granite boulders with breathtaking views, on a dinner, bed
and breakfast basis.

Vingerklip: From Outjo Drive
the C39 West for about 80kms and you will see the signs for the D
2743 on your Left- Hand side. There are also signs
for the Vingerklip. Drive for about 18kms and you will see the short farm road to the Vingerklip.

Dinosaur Tracks on Farm Otjihaenamaparero:
From Kalkveld: drive the D2414 for 29km to the farm. Good signs
From Okahandja: Drive the B1 Road
for 62km north. Turn west onto the D2404. After about 48km turn
north onto D2414 for a further 8km to site. Good Signs.
There is then a short farm road of
about 500meters to the farm house.
From Otjiwarongo: Drive the B1
south for 83km then turn west onto the D2404. After about 48km turn
north onto D2414 for a further 8km to site. Good Signs.

Waterberg Resort: On the B1 road 28km south of Otjiwarongo turn
east onto C22 tarred road for 42km. Turn north onto D2512 Gravel road.
After 24km arrive at the Waterberg Resort. There are good hiking trails
in the Park, plus guided 4x4 scenic game tours on the plateau.
